Hello my name is Matthew Lee. I am a photography major at the College for Creative Studies, in Midtown Detroit.

Outside of photography, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and finding what adventure the day holds no matter how big or small.

Where the name Transposed Moments comes from:

 

First you need to know the definition of transpose, if you don't already know, is "transfer to a different place or context". I chose this because growing up I was never really a creative kid; I was a very analytically centered person. Then serendipitously in college I found photography and was able to express myself in new creative ways. I was able to exist in the creative space that I hadn't been able to before.

The purpose of my photography is to tell stories, more specifically people who haven't been able to tell their stories before. I believe that everyone has a story to share that's worth listening to. I am here as a way to tell that story.
